Tweet Tweet!

I think these are so vintage shabby chic for your home decor, and would be super cute in a nursery!

I took old book pages and glued them down to a canvas. Then used fabric I had laying around and cut out birds and stitched the outline (pretty proud of myself for teaching myself how to stitch for the first time!) I took twine for the branch, gold string for the legs, and a tiny button for the eyes.

Reminds me of the Bob Marley song.. Don't worry, Be happy! :)

Picture Tree

This is pretty darn cute if I do say so myself!! I'm absolutely in love with it as I'm not even finished yet!! :)

I'm so glad the family I nanny for allowed me to yet try this on their kids playroom.

I got card stock and took pictures they had laying around and just kinda played with it.

It's not finished yet, but I had to post the progress so far!

Burlap Wreath

I saw this in a magazine as knew I could totally pull it off! It's a simple project but super messy with all the burlap strands!

I bought a wreath wire and burlap from
hobby lobby and that's just about all you need.

First cut out 1in x 6in (small wreath) or 1in x 12in (large).
Then just tie one knot starting from the outside in per section.

Its time consuming but simple and you can change it up to use it for any season :)

Dolly Mason Jars

Back to the mason jars.. there is just so many projects you can do with these things!

And the easier the project the better :) All I did was place paper dollies to the outside of the jar and used mode podge glue to coat them. I love the vintage and southern vibe and make for great holders in my bathroom!

1st ETSY order!!  :)
Materials Used:
1 beige apron
Acrylic paints- Teal, Purple, & Black
paint medium
iron
-stencils if needed

-I started with a pre-washed (I washed again, no softener!) blank beige apron from Michael's. I mixed the color acrylic paints 1/2 & 1/2 with the paint mediums so that it would be durable and smoother look when paint dries.

Use a stencil when needed andI  hand painted the teal flowers.
I did the same with the purple flowers. Went over everything with a 2nd coat and added simple touches to the purple flowers.

Final step is to seal the paint with heat- Iron on high over paint for 3-5 minutes (put an old rag on top so you don't ruin the face of the iron).

This step was a little tedious but I separated 4 different color thread strands and blended them equally. Then I wrapped the bracelet with the blended thread. Mod podge glue to seal the ends.

I hot glued the rhinestones on and then took the gold string and crisscrossed in-between the stones.

DIY Home projects

Moved in the new place and needed a few cute DIY easy projects:

The frame, candle holder, and candle are all wrapped with twine.

Mason jars with a twist! Cute huh?

Decorative Easter Eggs

Umm, how cute are these? Super simple and super cheap! They were so easy to paint with pastel colors and then just get a little artistic doing whatever design you want...and you do this all with a sharpie, yes a SHARPIE! Doesn't get much better :)

DIY Stepping Stool

Little miss thangs going away gift- Ya I could have bought her something but wanted her to have a little something to remember her first (and favorite) nanny :)

-I just bought a simple plain stepping stool from Michael's Arts & crafts (my FAVE store) and took her room colors and a simple flower pattern and put my painting skills (need a little brushing up) to the test! ..and Ta Da!

One of a kind Aprons

Mother/ Daughter cooking aprons- So cute and stylish while making something yummy!
